ACADÉMIE ROYALE DES BEAUX ARTS DI BRUXELLES / ISAC
Centrale Fies Art Work Space has been described by the Académie Royale des Beaux Arts as a "model of excellence for its activity of scouting and support to artists into a unexplored land between performance and visual arts”. Centrale Fies hosted 30 students from ISAC, the first department dedicated to performance and dance, for the Augmented Residency n°307. Académie Royale des Beaux Arts is one of the most important art schools in Belgium. It was founded in 1711 and in 2003 it opens the Institut Supérieur des Arts et de Chorégraphie. ISAC prepares students that want to work in the between of performance and visual art, and it invites every year many international artists who become the fulcrum of the teaching program.
The relevant history of Académie, its educational and artistic offer and its investments, hands to students the tools and knowledge required to build their professional artistic career. The aim of Académie is to answer the challenges of the contemporary art field.
